We were delighted to hear from express & freight forwarding specialists, INDY (aka Independent Wholesale Express Ltd), who were looking for a creative agency to support them with the design & creation of exhibition booth graphics.

INDY had once again taken space at the WCA Conference – this year in Singapore – and had booked a small shell scheme space. And, with them celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, they wanted a design style that would be influential and unique. They had approached us as they had previously seen our work for other freight companies in the area.

We could see that the company already used the word ‘TRUST’ within their existing marketing assets and, with that knowledge, the exhibition team at Design Inc proposed a unique design style that served to enhance this ‘asset’ and promote the company’s values as opposed to their services or solutions (which is, often standard in this field).
So…we set to work establishing a long list of company values. Based on insight and interviews with the company stakeholders, we were able to agree a series of values based on the company’s service levels, benefits and outlook.

From here, we were able to style these values as one of the side walls of the shell scheme. Our creative team provided two options for the the main backing wall. One with a human element to complement the human values, and a second design, utilising a INDY colour branded union Jack to promote the Britishness of the company (which would help separate them from the many overseas freight companies who would also exhibit at the event).

Needless to say, the company liked both options. But a decision needed to be made and the client opted for the British version to move forward.

Of course, as part of the creative process, we needed to liaise with the exhibition contractor to ensure we had the exact dimensions for each of the elements of the exhibition booth graphics. This included dimensions for back wall, side wall plinths, front and side header strips. Furthermore we also enquired regarding having a special purple carpet section to complement the brand colour. Regrettably, the organisers could not accommodate that extra request.
That said, Design Inc ensured all exhibition booth artwork was prepped, set up correctly for print and sent directly to the event organiser by the artwork deadline provided.

The event occurred the first and second week of March and was well attended. INDY have reported this event a major success in their 2018 marketing and believe it will take them another month to manage all the follow-up networking that now needs to occur. We look forward to working with them further throughout this 25th anniversary milestone year.
