EC Products is one of the UK’s leading supplier of control systems & parts to the building management sector. With over 200,000 products, they needed an e-commerce website which would streamline the selection & ordering of goods as well as ensuring clients accounts could be managed seamlessly.

The challenge

EC Products approached Design Inc for the build of a new & dynamic, e-commerce website that would help streamline the purchase, ordering and stock control of their products.

With over 20,000 products, they required catalogue and e-commerce support.

Furthermore, with their customer each receiving different discounting & delivery fees and the products requiring different offers and VAT codes, a robust yet flexible solution was called for.

The e-commerce website solution

Having worked with the client to create a full audit of functionality requirements, we were able to look into different platforms and found that WordPress would work best here.

And, whilst the designers were putting together some creative suggestions, we worked closely with the client to build a full inventory database and content management solution which couple with their stock control CRM through the build of a dedicated API.

The EC Products’ e-commerce website benefits from mobile-first technology, SEO, CMS, database, API. Furthermore, we provide ongoing web maintenance and dedicated hosting.
