As part of the Moore-Wilson group, the team at Design Inc are always excited when a new website is launched – even more so if we have contributed to the project. The recent web launch for 39 Essex Chambers is something we can all be proud of.
39 Essex Chambers is one of the UK’s largest and most successful sets of barristers chambers and had approached Moore-Wilson along with a number of other leading digital agencies to pitch for a new web build that would reflect their evolving brand and international presence, as they also have multiple offices in Asia.
Moore-Wilson specialise in websites for the legal profession and we are pleased to say that we were successful in the pitch, having presented a strategy that would deliver an ‘end-to-end solution’. Not just the website build, but also SEO search marketing, ongoing web maintenance as well as dedicated hosting – did you know, we have our own hosting department and a team contactable 24/7 ?
The client was allocated a senior team to work on the project who undertook a detailed scoping process, where they looked at heatmaps and tested wireframe options to ensure that the UX (User Experience) was properly developed. This ensured a more intuitive approach to finding all the content, which is often a challenge in a set with such a large number of practice areas.
As much of the content within the original website was considered to be good and strong, this project did not require any additional copywriting. Instead, a content mapping exercise was undertaken and an auto-migration script was written to efficiently & seamlessly transfer the bulk of the content from the old site to the new.
Furthermore, the issues around digital marketing were taken into consideration as we needed to preserve and build up their SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) as well as setting up clearer KPI (Key Performance Indicators) so as to generate reliable performance reporting.
