There are changes afoot for Subsea Expo in 2020 with a new event website.
No longer will the World’s leading subsea exhibition & conference be held at Aberdeen’s AECC – its home for the past 15 years – but rather it has relocated to P&J Live, Aberdeen’s new state-of-the-art events venue.
The exhibition also has a new look event website, not just easier on the eye but designed to make it much easier for exhibitors, attendees, conference speakers and delegates to access the information they individually require.
The new look event website has undergone a complete overhaul to enable the event organiser, Subsea UK to better manage the event content through a more comprehensive and intuitive CMS.
It had become clear some years ago that the original website was no longer fit for purpose and whilst Subsea UK could work with it and the visitors could still find the information they wanted, the decision was made to invest in a new site which would provide a much more positive experience for years to come.
The team at Design Inc were called upon to deliver the rebuild which also included an update to the event’s on brand style.
Design Inc’s Director, Frank Norman says “It was clear to see that the old website had a number of problems. It was cumbersome, boring and difficult to content manage. Moreover, it wasn’t fully responsive for mobile devices. And so, in the build of the new site we had to start from the ground up and create solutions that would fit perfectly with the client’s & visitor’s needs.”
Frank continues “Subsea Expo is more than just a successful exhibition, it’s also an industry-leading conference. In addition, it runs at the same time as the prestigious Subsea UK Awards. As such, there is a lot of information that needs to be shown on the site and a lot of functionality driving it behind the scenes.”
The new look website was launched in late August with the main content reliant upon the confirmations of the 2020 exhibitors and conference speakers. With 80% of exhibition space already sold (at the time of writing), it is estimated that the site will be fully populated towards the end of the year, ready and waiting for the event in early February.
Design Inc wishes Subsea UK every success with Subsea Expo for 2020 and beyond.
