For over 21 years, and being close to Heathrow, Design Inc has been ideally placed to provide freight and logistics branding to companies large and small. From one man couriers through to multi-national enterprises, we are able to support them all with their branding & marketing collateral.

The new branding project for Wallis Freight was one such example. Having been recommended to us by another company within the logistics sector, they approached us for support in the creation of a new brand identity for their ‘everyday’ freight and ‘special logistic projects’ business.

Devising the logistics brand identity for Wallis Freight

The requirement
Wallis Freight were looking for an identity that will have timeless appeal and provide a grown-up brand feel.

In practical terms, branding for the freight sector has the same set of processes as for other sectors but, within a competitively dense area such as Heathrow, creating ‘impact is even more important.
As such, it was crucial to get under the skin of this business to understand what is was that made them truly unique and how they were able to provide ‘extra value’.

Following a period of brand strategy, including values proposition and client profiling, we embarked on the creative and worked with the client to narrow down the brand options.
The chosen brand identity was a development of a stylised ‘W’ (for ‘Wallis’) and one which created a feeling of fluidity/movement.

The signature-inspired W-form possesses a freshness and vibrancy that stands out within the sector – adding value right from the outset. Moreover, with the new colour combination, there can be no confusion that Wallis’ logistics branding will stand out from the crowd.
