The brief

In 2024, the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) took ownership of EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition) making EBAA the sole producer and organiser of all future events starting with EBACE in 2025. Our task was to rebrand the show as a “reimagined show” designed to focus more on networking and content, evolving the look and feel of a more energised, accessible ‘live event’ brand.

The approach

To bring about the required perception shift around the new positioning, our main strategic recommendations included; adopt the EBAA font and colours for the EBACE25 identity, use a vibrant colour palette to represent the many facets of EBACE25, design ‘accessible’ icon illustrations to depict the show features, speak with an informal tone of voice, and a new strapline ‘Where Europe does Business Aviation’, and generally bring the brand to life with animation and video to create consistent brand touchpoints across the whole user experience.

The outcome

The resulting brand was achieved by taking both a longer-term view and at the same time creating something that is more ‘in the moment’. Built from components that will be repurposed with a twist each year whilst building the core brand.

A flexible toolbox of brand assets provided the opportunity for a distinct look that was relatively easy to apply consistently whenever deployed – whatever the channel and message.

The reaction

“Your vision and design expertise were instrumental in transforming the visual identity of the show. The response has been overwhelmingly positive – we’ve heard from many exhibitors and attendees who said they loved the new branding and felt the show had a renewed energy and professionalism. It was a genuine pleasure working with such a talented (and fun!) team. Most of all, thank you for being a true creative partner during this pivotal transition for the show.”
