A very special lenticular invitation has been designed for TAG Farnborough Airport

The biennial and ground breaking Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) takes place this July. The show exhibition pavilions and static a/c displays are set up just across the historic airfield from our client TAG Farnborough Airport. TAG asked us to come up with a design for a bespoke and tactile special hospitality invitation design for them to send to key clients and prospects inviting them to join TAG Farnborough at the event and enjoy the air show from The Aviator Hotel.

This summer has also seen the launch of an amazing new artspace, housed in the original wind tunnel buildings of the former Royal Aerospace Establishment. TAG’s guests at the air show are also welcome to experience the specially curated inaugural exhibition.

For this chosen invitation design, we used a 8 layer, lenticular invitation to simulate the motion of the massive fan blades in the wind tunnel – teamed with the headline ‘fantastic’ to provide an effective and dynamic invitation to experience FIA and enjoy world class hospitality at the Aviator Hotel.

The historic wind tunnels at Farnborough are now looked after by the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST). The site has opened as an art space and to mark the occasion of the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) will be exhibiting new works curated by Artliner  – an unique consultancy providing art in conjunction with aviation events. A multi-sensory art exhibition will take place in the 1917 and 1935 Grade 1 and 2 listed buildings, which will open to the public for the first time. These historic examples of British engineering heritage, which showcase the RAE’s world leading aviation research and development facilities, are being reinvented as one of the most exciting new venues for the arts outside London. TAG Aviation and TAG Farnborough Airport are sponsors of this and aeronautical and creative project.

We wish our clients and all concerned with the redevelopment of these amazing spaces into a asset for future generations every success with this innovative venture.
